I saw this mystery dial
« on: January 26, 2010, 05:34:27 PM »
Hello,

Thanks for providing this board.

I am new to vintage watches and am just making lists of watches that catch my eye as I browse the web.

I just saw this Zodiac on ebay: 230427384782

I quite like it. I can see that the strap isn't original and I can see a bit of wear on the hands, the crown etc.

I'm not sure if the words "Zodiac Olympos" are supposed to be in the 6 o'clock position? I can see a pic of this type of watch on this site without those words there.

Also, are the embossed hours supposed to be black?

Finally, does the price seem fair?

Many thanks

It could be a "fair" price, but it is very worn and the crown is shot and should be replaced. The rest looks all original.
