Jet 24 Hour Model
« on: October 30, 2010, 11:09:58 AM »
I learned something interesting this week researching this model for a inquiry I had received. This resulted in a new picture being added in the Gallery under the Jet. Take a look and see if you can understand what I learned.

Wow, what a coincidence! I've had a Jet Aeronaut that needs repaired for sometime and just saw an Aerospace Jet yesterday.
I think most people know of the name change, but I've often wondered what else was different. I noticed the lack of the logo on the Aeronaut, but not much else. Even the backs have the same writing. I thought maybe the lug shape would differ, but they look the same too.
Thanks for the gallery photos, Butch. I've never seen one with no name on the dial like the 1962 one you have pictured.

My guess for something like this is that there was some sort of brand infringement issue raised to them forcing Zodiac to change the name. Companies normally do no mess with an established brand. Just a guess mind you.
