So you thought my price was high for a fully restored SW. I bet this one flies off the shelf!
BTW, I will have one like this, restored, this week and will post it.
For that kind of dosh, it should be mint (that one isn't, looks very good/near excellent) with box and papers, in short factory fresh.
Have noticed Seawolves inching up again in price, with several very good examples going for $200-$300+. To think, a couple of years ago, I scoffed at a black dial, date Seawolf in excellent w/ original bracelet for a shade over two bones. Never again. :(
:o 8) WOW!!i have one like this i bought new in 1968--mine looks better so i guess i should sell it for maybe 1,500. i am amazed everyday i look at the bay. well, he seems to think more of it than i do. i think it will sit there for a VERY LONG TIME! butch--the one you have for sale is really nice--wish my finances were in better shape! JON
Thanks Jon. I used to give them away, now they just sit in my cabinet until they do. I have another just like it that I wear. Yeah, this is the wrong time of year but I do not care when it sells. All I would do is spend the dust on more watches anyway. <sheepish grin>
Not as nice as the one I bought from you some years back. But there was also one listed for at least a year, with no pictures, for $2700 starting price.
Some of the Sea Wolf prices have gone a bit over the top I think. Same for some oft the NOS Tropic straps - $479 for one of them on the bay.
:o i think the $2,700. SW was probably a 90s model. i emailed the guy for pics etc,he would not respond. i noticed it is not listed any longer. talking about bracelets--there is a SS mesh one listed now for $250.original zodiac champion. i bought one just like it a year ago-NOS-for $50.it is on my zodiac 24hr dial right now.
I missed a NOS riveted "oyster" bracelet a year or two back, still kicking myself for not upping the ante a bit more. So it goes. :'(
