Title: New Zodiac on the way, want opinions on strap, please!
Post by: StephenMc on April 23, 2018, 10:46:32 AM
Hello! I am new here. I have been studying Zodiacs for a few years and just finally made my first purchase.
I know me and know this is just going to be the first one!

Any information you guys can share on it are greatly valued, and I would like your opinion
of the best looking band to get for it. I want to stay true to the original designers intent.

Thanks, and nice to meet you!

Whatever you like is your best bet. Almost no original leather band left in existence.

Thanks for your reply!

. I didn't expect I would find anything original. But i wanted to know when you guys with real depth of knowledge look at this, does a particular band style stand out as more "correct"?

Now, is this under the dress watch category, even though it has a second hand? Does that mean it needs
a leather strap? Black?  white stitching, rally, or gator or does it matter?

Or would a steel bracelet be "ok"?

That sort of thing.

Thank you!

Here is Vintage Zodiac catalog section available for reasonable subscription: http://www.zodiaccatalogs.com/ (http://www.zodiaccatalogs.com/)
There you can explore all known information about that time frame.
As I aware, these watches were available on various leather and metal bands.

Subscribed!

Very cool catalogues, etc.

I didn't see the hermetics in the catalogues much, just not one of their top lines?
