Title: Seawolf Ref. 1972BL question
Post by: surfingfuji on April 12, 2015, 08:52:30 AM
Hi guys,

at the moment I´m waiting for my latest family member to add to my little collection.

I´m waiting for a Seawolf with the Ref. 1972BL like this shown in 1975 catalog.
Now would like to know in which period this models where build and sold. It seems to be
that These Seawolf where not offer very often, right?

If These models where only a 1975 Seawolf it would be perfect, because it´s my year of birth! 8)

Sorry about my bad English, but I hope you´ll understand!

Thanks and regards
Oliver

I have only ever seen them in the 75 catalog. I do not think they were made for very long as they do not show up very often. Be careful of the bezel as the numbers are just painted on there. Usually you find them all wiped off.

Yeeees! It seems I´ve got a birth year SW!  :woohoo;

I know about the Problems with the bezel print.
The one I´ve bought is in a very good condition, I think.
Here´s a pic made by the seller:

ZODIAC really did some cheap things with bezels over the years didn't they!!?? just a few cents more per watch and they could have offered better materials, designs. oh well, hind sight is always 20/20 isn't it.
