Hi Guys,
Just signed up, I'm trying to find some information about a watch belonging to my father, Image attached.
I've searched E-Bay and Google images and haven't come across a similar watch face.
Thanks
That is a late 50's or early 60's Glorious dress watch. The green outer ring is not seen a lot. That will make a fine family heirloom that you can pass along if taken care of and properly serviced.
The picture isn't particularly clear but it looks to have its original hands. The strap doesn't look original and from the angle I am not sure about the crown. The dial does look in remarkably good condition as well as being original. Again without photographs of the inside it is hard to say but I presume it has an AS movement in it. Probably the 1094 or maybe 1628. You can find these coming up on eBay most of the time. The face looks as if it has a dark green outer? Is that just a reflection of the light?
Get it serviced and give it some wrist time!
Regards,
Neil.
Cheers guys.
I believe it was bought in the late 50's or early 60's. Apparently it has a number 1017459.
Thanks for your help.
