Well, since I'm new here I feel I have to show things... ;)
So here it is another Zodiac that I believe is not very often seen: an automatic bumper with movement ZODIAC 1225A ("based" on an AS 1298). Hope you like it.
Nice old model. Can't tell, has it been redialed along the way?
Not by me. And looking closely at it I'd say it's never been re-dialed. It's just my pic, that makes it look a bit better and doesn't show the marks... :)
BTW... can we consider the red arrow in this watch a precedent of the red dot?
Nah! Nice thri though. To be honest, I am unsre that second hand is original. I need to get back home and check some of my old pics of bumpers I have had over the years. But hell, it could be. It sure looks cool.
Why not? Who knows the origin of the red dot idea??? ;D ;D ;D
Second hand is a bit thiner than hour one, but looks similar, and uniformly worn.
Anyway, looks quite "original" if it's not and price was good. These catalogs will sure help.
Additional pic., for more info.
Ooooopsss.. you meant secondS hand, not second hand understood like minutes hand... Sorry.
Then catalogs will help and my red dot theory will be erased from Zodiac books of history... ::)
Yes, I was talking about the red second hand. The hour and minute hand is correct for that model.
Second hands can get mangled during a service if the watchmaker is careless so that is how the wrong one can get on a watch.
