wouldn't go as far as to call it a fake...it's more of a marriage...real sea wolf dial and a non S/W Zodiac case and hands...found an example of a similar case in the VZ galley

I got it on ebay in about 2003 for $200.   Funny story -- I sent to UWR (universal watch repair) and the guy who worked on it said it was one of the finest zodiac watches he'd ever seen.    Cost about $600 to fix.    He said that it should be insured no less than $1500 to send back to me.     He sent it back with a receipt that appeared to talk about how much vacuum was used to seal it.   No idea really.

The ebay ad was rich :   said that the owner highly prized this watch of all the zodiacs in his collection.   Spoke fondly of the man.    The seller was eagop.

It needs to be serviced again but I don't want to spend on a bastardized watch.    Don't want to leave it in the drawer.    What would you do?      I still like it.    It is unique.

The calendar day doesn't advance is the only issue.

Thanks for the information!    Very interesting to me.

Lucky sucker

I doubt this watch will bring any serious money. As on me, no reason to sell as is.
Here on forum you can service it three times cheaper with higher quality.
So, give it a service and wear on your pleasure, since you like the watch.

While a marriage is valueless, except for the parts, many of us have one a like it.

Another option would be to find a donor, like this one: 392046202936
It was only $54 plus shipping. Movement inside could worth $50-100.
Keep dial and hands and resell the movement. Win-win.
