I'm doing some investigating for my girlfriend's father. He showed me his Sea Wolf which he purchased new in the mid 60's and asked me to get some information on it. Looking at literally hundreds of the pictures on the internet, and I see no other Sea Wolf with a fully numbered face like this one. Here's a pic. Any info would be appreciated
Thanks,
Rob
Years ago the dial was replaced with and incorrectly refinished dial. That watch did not leave the factory that way.
Thanks for the help Butch.
He did not tell me whether or not it has ever been repaired, but he was a diver for many years, and it was well used. I know he purchased the watch in the mid 60's, But I guess it's possible that he purchased it second hand And the face was replaced before he bought it.
Would it be possible to identify exactly what zodiac model the face came from?
No way to be honest. It could have been refinished any time along the way. 65 or 95, who knows. The Sea Wolf always had the triangles at 6,9, and 12. 3 if it had no date.
