Title: Aerospace Jet with New JB Champion "NASA"
Post by: Cobber on May 12, 2014, 07:15:23 PM
Last year, years after searching and mere days after purchasing, I swatted at a bee while eating lunch outside and my NOS (yes, I'm convinced it was never worn before, the thing was absolutely perfect in every way) Jet went flying a good twenty maybe thirty feet and miraculously landed softly in a bush.  I can still see it arching through the air and watching it in disbelief.  I pulled my first Jet, given to me by my father, out of the laundry machine twenty years ago.  For a moment I was convinced I was cursed.  Anyhow, I've been on the lookout for a deployment version of the stock JB stretchy band at a price I can live with ever since.  Well, that hasn't happened but I did finally pull the trigger on a period correct band I'm sure found it's way on to more than one of these watches.

Typically they're marketed more towards the vintage Omega Speedmaster collector and in the mesh form the asking prices are astronomical.  This particular version is typically priced around $200.  I came a across an NOS one at about half that price the other day and decided to give it a try.

Let me know what you think,

The new band and the watch look great Cobber.  Now, quit pressing your luck and stay inside!  8)

Not inside! That is where the scarey washing machine is!

:butchLOL; I'm clearly not trustworthy. My dad managed to make it through a war and an untold number of SAC missions without distroying one. Eating lunch and doing laundry is a challenge for me.
