By the way: The association of Zodiac with the Swiss Federal Railways lasted into the 1950ies, where it is still mentioned in ads. Some claim that the logo was also first introduced in the 1950ies , so that is most likely the decade for this piece.

Even if half of all Zodiacs at one point was exported to the US, Rene Calame, then CEO, in a 1950ies interview mentioned Scandinavia as a succesful market for them. Sweden appears to have been important and an early market too after WW2. Denmark followed in 1953 at first small scale but later on level with many other Swiss brands. To my best knowledge Omega dominated here as did Rolex (in the then relatively small luxury segment), measured on the large scale Zodiac seemed to be comparable to for instance Certina and Eterna.

I would like to introduce you to a cool curiosity. Here is an original Zodiac display stand from the 1950s/60s, made for the Swedish distributor of the brand, by Ruegg of Le Chaux de Fonds in Switzerland. The inscription reads - "Official brand of the Swiss State Railways." After a restoration lasting several hours, it has once again regained its former luster. Cheers !!!

Yes. Here is a picture of the catalog and your watch although it appears to have a different band.

I have been told I never throw anything away and I guess that is true.. I was dig in a box of junk and look what I turned up.

My sea wolf was bought in July of 1968 at Myrtle Beach SC Air Force base exchange when I got out of the service.
I had bought a sea wolf in April of 67 and lost it in the tundra in Alaska a few month after I got it and one I have now is it's replacement.
