Yes. Here is a picture of the catalog and your watch although it appears to have a different band.

Nice SW!  Was your model available at the same time this one was available? Also an after BWG:

I have been told I never throw anything away and I guess that is true.. I was dig in a box of junk and look what I turned up.

My sea wolf was bought in July of 1968 at Myrtle Beach SC Air Force base exchange when I got out of the service.
I had bought a sea wolf in April of 67 and lost it in the tundra in Alaska a few month after I got it and one I have now is it's replacement.

OK class, let's all do a search in the forum from the main page for the word ebauche and learn something new today.

Zodiac (and other brands!) bought the AS ebauche and brought them in house to be finished. One of those touches was to put a Zodiac rotor on it.

General Zodiac Discussion / Autographic ref.673
Last post by bumo79 - March 13, 2024, 03:34:20 PM
Hello.

I need your help on one topic, because I can't figure it out myself.
My buddy bought an autographic model ref.673 on Ebay.
The watch has a different marking on the movement (AS 1424)
and a different marking on the rotor (1150A).
My autographic model ref.695 has the same marking on the movement
as on the rotor (AS 1424). Normally there should be the same marking
in both places, am I wrong ? We found a second copy of the same model online
and it looks identical to the one we bought. Could it be that Zodiac used a
rotor with a different number on this model
Do any of you have knowledge and can confirm the correctness of such markings.
Thank you kindly for any help.

Did not have a chance to try mentioned crystal from Otto Frei. Proposed 28.25mm diameter looks a bit big to me. Previously I tried 28.2mm from other vintage manufacturers without luck. Usually 28.2 crystal brakes under crystal press. But who knows how this one will behave... Since it does not have compression ring, maybe it could accommodate original ring and will fit the case?
$18 is not huge money. Probably worth to try. Keep us posted.

All,

I just wanted to circle back on this crystal specification and ensure I order the right one. Looking at the Otto Frei site, they specify a 28.25mm crystal for the Datographic.

Is the 28.25 mm crystal equivalent to the 28.1 mm crystal specified above? As I mentioned above, mine measured smaller than both, so I'd love to get confirmation.

Thanks!

Great note. Does anyone make a compatible sapphire or AR crystal?
