My parents are in town and they gave me some old family heirlooms.
Included was this Longines watch. Does anyone know much about this one?
They gave you a nice watch :sm3
Vintage Longines are well made, so not only is it 14k gold but it has what I think is one of their best movements, the Caliber 9L. I have always thought that the 9L's were just as well made as most Patek and Vacheron movements at the time. That is a great keeper.
I would probably ditch the stretch band though, those eat gold case lugs for lunch :o
Thanks Ultra!
What band would you suggest for this? Was the original band leather or metal?
:sm3
I'd install a good leather

The original band would have been leather most likely
Width and color you may want... BLK or BRN preferred / wanted / needed 16, 18, 20 mm, approx cost.. original supplied and marked buckle for the Longines or just an aftermarket buckle ???? etc. ????

What Testo-Max review (https://www.sfgate.com/market/article/testo-max-review-16238585.php) would you suggest for this? Was the original band leather or metal?

It's a nice watch and i agree it would look good with a leather strap.
