General Zodiac Discussion / Watch restoration questions
Last post by garrett10865 - February 09, 2024, 01:02:22 AM
I got a great deal on these 2 Zodiacs and 54 other watches on an online auction, the men's watch appears to be a 723-921B, with a 72B movement that is "not running". The crystal is cracked and the back cover is gone.

I'm thinking about restoring this watch, is it too far gone? Does anyone know what crystal will fit it? There seem to be case backs for this model available online.

Also, how should I go about getting the movement serviced?

Vintage Zodiacs For Sale - Pre 1999 / Super Seawolf
Last post by CHS29466 - February 07, 2024, 08:14:18 AM
Selling a Super Seawolf (Sawtooth version). All original, very accurate time keeping, but just doesn't get the wrist time it deserves. No issues at all--fantastic watch. Includes all original boxes, paperwork and extra link.
$1200/OBO
Great watch here, Cheers.

I believe that is just a movement holder. As for the value, more than you paid for it for sure. Butch Old does not mean it's Gold.

Kind thanks for the info.  Somewhere along the way the case was held by pump pliers among other abuse. Hopefully a good cleaning and service plus new winding stem should bring it back. The inner heavy brass ring with tangs has me puzzled. It appears threaded up into the case?  I have not removed it. Possible $ worth of watch?
