Practice Macro Photo - Zodiac Super Chrono

Just testing my new Macro Lens.  I have found that If I shoot close to the watch like 6 inches or less, the focus area becomes pinpointed to a very small area and the rest of the watch is out of focus.  When I pull back, I get much more of the watch in focus.

   pic looks very good, there is very little depth of field when you get that close. nice watch, by the way!!! what kind of camera? i am so old i grew up being taught photography by my dad with that stuff we used to call FILM!!! all my 35mm equipment is now so outdated the pawn shops laugh when i walk in the door, they want me to pay them to TAKE IT!!

 I got one recently and I'm going to have to figure out the best way to use if for pictures also.
