I've been watching this from the start hoping the Japanese location would discourage bidders. Doesn't seem to be the case.  Currently at five hundo and reserve still not met. Guess it wouldn't have mattered for me since spending that much right now would have an impact on the watches I want to send out for repair/service.  Not that it wouldn't be worth it. This thing is super duper cool!
There's been some real nice non Sea Wolves out there recently.

Pretty watch but way out of my price range.

Answers a question I've had about whether a straight end band can suit a round watch body. That one looks just fine.

Butch

That is way too much. Take a look at the bids page and look for shill bidding. I only have my phone and can't with their silly assed app

I've heard of shill bidding but how do you spot it?
There may be a market for vintage Zodiacs in Japan. I remember reading that one of the heirs was able to crack the market there early nineteen hundreds and had even had an affiliation with this guy by the name of Seiko.

Looks like these bidders have some kind of Kingline fever.  Nice watch but way too rich for me!   :lolz;

Interesting, sold for $680 but Butch has me scratching my head wondering if the buyer got suckered.  I can see how a collector of chronometres might find the condition of this too hard to pass up.

Hmmmmmm......I have one of these that needs to be serviced and sold, maybe I should hurry up with that if this is what bidders are willing to pay!

I agree with Butch, cool watch, but too much money.  Not serviced even.

I am glad that they used the size 1000 font in the description and cleared up the "sexual orientation" of the watch though  :#lol

I got a bit of a kick out of that as well. Must have had a run in with some idiot that was convinced they bought a ladies watch by mistake since it wasn't visible from the moon:)

"and cleared up the "sexual orientation" of the watch"

I hope they're not trying to start a new trend.  I much prefer mens or ladies as opposed to the politically correct "sexual orientation".   :lolz;
