:BGW: :BGW:   this may be a DUMB ???? but here goes. setting my watches BACK for DST, is it OK to move the hands backwards for an hour?? i have heard this BOTH WAYS, ok or never. of course i know never move hands either way within 2-3 hours of date change. :ur

None of that matters, set it any way you like. Remember the "quick set trick"? That is winding it backwards.

To change the date on a non-quick set date watch:
Turn hour hand back to 9 (past OK) then forward to 3 (past OK).
Repeat until you are 1 day  behind correct date.
Then turn crown forward until you have correct day being careful to get AM & PM right.*
* If you screw this step up, you will spend the next hour repeating these steps for at least 30 times.

Best,
