Seawolf serial number location. 001?

Did zodiac put serial numbers between the legs of the SeaWolves? Is it possible that this is actually serial number 1? What exactly does serial number 001 mean?

Take the band all the way off and look. Usually under the 6 lug.

Hey guys. Just joined yesterday. Graet info on this site. This is my watch. My buddy was posting for me until I could get online. The number is a 1, not a 7. There is no other number under the bracelet. The caseback number is 2119120.

Pure luck. Been researching for a LONG time. Don`t pay too much, Don`t pay too little. Originality. Condition. Etc.....

What put me over the top was the original JB Champion bracelet and the box.

The serial number I just noticed yesterday.

I would still like to be able to have some sort of confirmation. May just be some strange occurrence? Who knows.

Without a solid recorded history of serial numbers for ANY Zodiac watches, it's really hard to say if it is #1 or not. I would still be pretty elated about it either way!

While I have no idea what the 001 means, I do know that the 7 numbers on the back is the serial number for that watch. I do not collect that model so have none to compare it to. We used to have members here that owned several each but I have no idea if they are still around or still have them.
