New to this Watch Stuff . . 1967 Zodiac Moonphase

I have my 1967 Zodiac Moonphase / day & date setting in a box since 1975. I think I want to see if it can be repaired. Just how do I go about getting the job done right? I have had a a local watch repairer say he does not have the tools . .. My friend says it may cost more than it's worth . . So I am here to get some pointers and make a decision.
