I have seen that Chrono for sale before.  I always thought maybe that one is a special model produced by Zodiac to raise money and auctioned off at some event.  I recall Ken Genender talking about this in the past, even though this model is before his line of watches, I thought he said he received a lot of special Gold zodiacs with diamonds.

Or this could be what you said a replaced bezel.

I do know that model has the crown/stem issue because I just put on my Gold Point chrono after months of it sitting.
Have to wait until it's that time shown on the watch and then wind it up by motion to get it going.
