Wow! Amazing difference.
Was all that crap on the crystal and not the dial? Nice job on the bezel.
Yes, the crystal was all scratched and heavily covered by deteriorated gum or some sort of resin.
In addition it was cracked. So I just replaced it.
You got to be proud when you're sporting that watch! Nice restoration. :twothumbsup

What a superb job!
Wow! I wear this watch about two weeks. Amazed how accurate it is! One second a week!!! It is a chronometer!
HOW did you do that? Was the work done by you or do you know a guy? My jaw would have hit the floor if not for the laws of physics. That is simply amazing, especially the bezel. I have an older Sea Wolf with the bakelite bezel and I keep toying with having it restored; it currently looks like it's been through a war.
Your watch is simply amazing.

I do it myself as hobby.
Actually nothing special. Replaced the crystal and crown with NOS parts.
Gave a good cleaning for bezel and case. Did not buff. New gaskets.
Movement completely overhauled.
That is some spectacular resto wrk :coolsmiley2
