Sea Wolf and GMT Calibers

I am trying to determine the calibers of my Sea Wolf and GMT watches. They are 60's or 70's vintage. The GMT needs a new balance staff and a 24 hr bezel. The Sea Wolf just stopped working and my watch maker is looking for the parts from his sources in NYC . I had a brief phone discussion with him but forgot to ask him about the caliber. Both of my watches are nice shape cosmetically.

If anyone has a GMT bezel or balance staff please write. The bezel Butch actioned while back went for more than I wanted to spend.

I was also unexpectedly away when a GMT for parts was sold in this last week at a reasonable price. If any of you won that auction I would be interested in talking to you.

Butch

All of those were a 7x movement and the parts are mostly the same throughout. You are having the same problem most people have, their watchmaker cannot get the parts. Other than buying another watch, and praying those parts are good, you probably will not find anything. Most do not. As for bezels, they are like hens teeth, just as most of the cosmetic Zodiac parts are.

Thanks Butch. However I have come up with some parts in the past. PRACTICING PATIENCE IS THE BEST WAY TO GO.  My Sea Wolf  kept time for 2 yrs before running erratically and the dial, case and crystal are in great shape. The GMT worked for 6-9 months before the balance staff broke. Its' dial, crystal and case are in very good shape as well.

My watch maker is zodiac person and has some parts and sources for parts. Problem is he is a little disorganized and has go to search through draws of parts he has bought. It is unfortunate that I was unexpectedly out when a GMT for parts went for $56. It included the 24 hour bezel that was beat up but could be restored. I opted out on bidding on the bezel you had for sale a while ago.

there is a white dial gmt, not running--on ebay now, check it out, bezel looks good.the bay ## is 200566984460, no bid and 2-3 hours left. parts would be worth 150.00,bezel would probably bring 50.-75. alone. seller says not working, hands dont move. mine had the same problem and it was an inexpensive repair, bad canon pinion. good luck, let us know if you get them fixed!!    jon p

Sea Wolf

Someone got it for $149.99. Anyone here get it?

Wasn't me. That was too beat up for me to bid, but it did sell at a good price though.
Lesson time: Note it had a caliber 75 movement? That meed quick set date on the crown and a later version of the GMT.
