Bought recently. Solid gold bezel. Thought it is a franken Sea Wolf. Never seen it with shovel hands and pentagon markers.
When it arrived, I was pleased to found yellow paint on dial writings. As well as gold color of hands and markers.
Looks like it is original "costume" Sea Wolf with solid gold bezel.
Did anybody have/see this model before in this configuration?
p.s. I'd like to donate below pictures if administration will be interested to add them to VZ Gallery. Please feel free to copy them to respective place to be available for the audience.
I have not seen this configuration before. I don't think I've ever seen that dial before. But like you, given all the matching gold, the correct 3 hands, who knows? May have been a transition piece.
I have the same watch, exact same configuration. I thought it was put together too when I bought it, but when it showed up the dial was gold markers/hands/writing to match the bezel.
So this is only the second example of this model that I have ever seen.
Thank you! The wonderful world of Zodiacs and the people who collect them!!
Thank you, guys, for input.
Adding closer picture of the dial and hands. Just for reference.
Just seen on ebay and just bought a correct price. Is very very nice and I think rare.
