I just bought my first Sea Wolf locally, and it seems to be an early one.
The dial is radium, but the hands have been relumed sometime awhile back (as the lume does not glow). The serial number starts with 1217.. . The watch is on a Zodiac stretch rivet band.
How many of these were made? I've read the history of the watch, being introduced in 1953, and believe this is from that year.
I've searched several places and not seen another up for sale recently, hence no description of other similar models.
I am a watch collector, mostly of vintage Rolex and chronographs, but pick up other watches that interest me. Glad I found this one!
Lume on hands looks original to me. Although crown is after market replacement.
Very nice early SeaWolf!
Nice example of one of the earliest divers.
What would a proper crown look like, so that I may keep an eye out for one to replace the current one?

Thanks for the photo!

That crowns are for very late Zodiac model with ETA caliber and will not work for early Sea Wolves, especially mentioned 10atm case.
Not selling, when you buy one on eBay and install it the gasket is goo. If you have BWG service it and get one from him, then he replaces the gasket before installing it. Just sayin is all.

OOOooo...!!!
That one's different!
Has a different style of dial and bezel. The styling gives a good look to the watch.
I have assumed that this is an early Sea Wolf.
