Title: 1958 Gold cased dress watch
Post by: Marrick on February 21, 2010, 01:30:30 PM
Hi again. This was my first Zodiac. Solid 9ct gold inside a British made Dennison case hallmarked Birmingham 1958. The movement is a 721 based on the FHF 72. Not suitable for diving. ;D ;D

Thank you Gary. It is nice isn't it? ;D

I know some people don't like engravings on watches, but I don't mind them. Often the 'long service award' watch is only worn on special occasions - 4 or 5 times a year - and so it stays in good condition.

Thank you Jon.

This was as I bought it off ebay last year; for a mere £59 (=$91).   ;D  Dial refinishing is much less common in the UK than in the US, and is much more expensive. I've never had a watch restored  - other than mechanically. Glad you like it. :)
