I'm unsure why the link appeared, it was not intentional. I have more pictures, but I think I'm not allowed to upload more.

My sister just found some files from our father's business. As I have mentioned in previous posts, he was Zodiacs agent to Denmark from 1953 to about 1987.

The files are in regard to a course for Danish Watchmakers at the Zodiac factory: Around 1967 the Zodiac Spacetronic was introduced. It was based on ESA's Dynotron movement and was featured in certain Zodiac watches until the mid 1970ies as far as I can tell from old catalogues. The technology differed substantially from traditional mechanical watches and watchmakers needed special training to be able to service the new models.

To that purpose Zodiacs Danish agent Mr. Poul Andersen organized trips for local watchmakers to the factory in Switzerland. One such trip took place in 1970.

In one picture you see the brands commercial director, Mr. Maurice Calame, far right, entertaining his Danish guests, while Zodiac employees are at work, Mr. Andersen, arms crossed, listening attentively. In a different picture Mr. Calame at the front demonstrates an unknown object or process to the guests, Mr. Andersen at the back, right side. Two further pictures are presumably (based on the schedule for the course) from a presentation of Zodiacs collection and marketing material.

LOL! Thanks - very helpful. I think the seller got "Poor Man's" from uses like this (which has some interesting history in it too):

Those are nice, well made chronographs. As for the seller, I would question his knowledge calling it a "Poor Man's" anything  :SB:

Hi, I'm pretty new to vintage watches, and very new to Zodiacs, but came across this one which really caught my eye.

Any thoughts or concerns? I understand servicing Zodiacs has some challenges.

Appreciate your time!
