 :what i wonder what messed that bezel up that bad!? must have been exposed to some kind of strong chemical, i bet the bezel insert is aluminum.  UGLY !

Not at all. If one were to look in the catalogs on ZodiacCatalogs.com one will see it. It was simply not popular, so not a lot were sold, ergo rarer.

Oh no, when new, the bezel was a two toned gold and brown, broken up by 12 hours. Dunno what happened to the eBay one though.
