I saw that one. Looks like it may have been a pretty cool looking piece at one point and with a possible interesting history. Would be impossible for me to figure out how to verify the German DU claim or meaning.

Looks to me like the dial was repainted at some point and they decided to go ahead and paint the numbers as well.
