Title: vintage zodiac hermetic chronograph
Post by: hrc on April 22, 2020, 06:42:09 AM
Dear Sirs,

I just found a vintage zodiac hermetic chronograph, picture attached.

I opened it and it contains a zodiac 89 which as far i reasearched the internet is equivalent to a valjoux 232.

It has his original bracelet signed JB champion but i was unable to find any other watch like this one on sale or published elsewhere and this is where i had the idea to post it here so you can guide me about knowing more about this watch.

This is the picture!

Hope you liked it.

That one is from the 1970's and given the band was in North America originally. Just curious, given the flag, what country did you find it in?

I found it here in Spain ( Madrid ).

A friend of mine that knows that i love vintage watches found it and sold it to me. It was from an uncle of him.

The rest of history is completely unknown  :)

The point is, if you do not know the service history then get it serviced.

Hi again,

Is this model in the catalogs that you can provide? In which one?

Since you have not answered my PM about servicing the watch i will service it here in spain then, i guess sending this to the USA and back could be a customs problem.

For this service is there any document in the section that is accessible with payment that i can take advantage from so i can provide to the person servicing the watch here?

Thanks a lot for your help

regards

Sorry, I did not get a PM and the page says to send me an email for the referral. Not the same thing.

Your local guy should be able to service it as it is a standard chrono movement.

Ok, no problem, my mistake to send the PM instead of the email.

I will proceed with local service according to your suggestions to get the watch serviced as a first step before anything else.

For my catalog question should i understand that this model is not on the catalogs you have online right?

In the catalogs we have, only similar models, not this exact one.
