Zodiac Chronograph 4566 702

Snake Eater

Hello,
I'm a new member, retired from the US Army SF and have recently unpacked my Zodiac Chronograph after appox 30 years storage. The watch was gift from an older brother, also in the Army SF.
I wore it for awhile, then stored it.  It is in the orignal inner red plastic folding case with the "Zodiac Instruction Manual & Guarantee" booklet. On page 7, the "Zodiac One Year Guarantee... Registration No. 43852 " and "Owner's Record" with "4566  702" printed in the lower right hand corner. The guarantee registation info is blank as at the time I was involved with many Special Forces ops and did not fill out the form.
The outer cardboard box has a red top with the Zodiac symbol and a gold bottom. On the top is a Zodiac sticker with " Chronograph, 4566, 171-STEEL, Water Resist., $175.00" printed on it.
Am I correct assuming that "4566" is the model and "702" is the serial number? The watch has a circular black inner face with "Zodiac" printed above the hands center and  3 smaller white faces (90, 30,12). Above  "Zodiac" are 2 smaller white rectangles for day and month. The outer white circular face has a 60 second and 31 day face.
The outer case has 5 "winding/reset/hack" crowns. The wrist band is steel with Zodiac logo on the clasp.
With this info, am I correct ref the model/serial numbers?
Thanks,
David

4566 is the model.  The description is Underwater chronograph, 17 jewel stainless steel case and band, water resistant to 660 feet.

Very nice Zodiac you have.  Can you post pics?

Thanks Seawolf,
I guess I have alot to learn about my watch, but I enjoy doing the research.
I'll post pics as soon as I can get my grandson or granddaughter to walk me thru the process...heck, I'm still amazed at the old black/white Poloroids!!!!!!!!
I want to get it serviced/repaired after all these years, who do you recommend?

We all use the same repair company.  We call them BWG "Butches Watch Guy"

At the top of the page click on Watch Repair and get in contact with Butch.  Send him an email and he will
hook you up.  BWG services all my watches and a lot of the members here.  I can not say enough good things
about BWG.

Can't wait to see the photos.  Do you have the original band with the watch?
