They would have had to glue or dial dot that dial to the movement after cutting the feet off to "fit" it, but being that the date does not line up with the window at a time when it should have already changed, it may not even be fastened well at all and may have turned slightly.  I dont think this one is high-quality enough to even qualify as a Frankenstein....

FWIW... The only exhibition back Zodiac was the 60's electric Spacetronic, and I am not sure that was actually factory original, but I have seen several over the years...
