Frey 2012

Hello   I just joined up here as I bought my first Zodiac..

I am wondering how to set the date on this .. Do not want to mess something up.
Mine is a white pearl face type with the white outer ring..
It is keeping time but not sure how to set the Date.

Its set for the 16th right now ..

any help on this would be most appreciated...

It has the silver band on it and I note its a bit tight but
its a flex type so I might have to deal with it.

Suggestions are welcome..

I bought this off ebay estate sale and the guy has a tamper sticker on it
stating if I remove that I cant return it for any reason as some remove parts then try
to get refunds...

So far so good but I am a bit leary about the sticker and policy there..
Suggestions ?

I paid 650 shipped... its in nice shape.. will get a photo up.

Thanks in advance
Ron

Not sure if you have the same model as mine.  Can be viewed here:

I set mine by:
1) advancing the time to midnight.  When you do this your date should advance to the next day.
2) After that I roll the time back to approx. 15mins. before midnight (or hear/feel a very soft/faint "click")
3) Then advance the time once again to midnight.  Each time I do this the date moves forward one day

If your date doesn't advance the first time time you advance the time past midnight you probably have a problem and need to return watch if it's warranted.

Don't get caught up on the date changing at exactly midnight.  None of my watches do.  All my watches new and old change several minutes in advance of midnight.

Looking forward to seeing pics.

Welcome, congratulations and good luck,
Chris

Thanks  its the same watch but my band is different...  One thing the seller off ebay sent a handwritten note stating if I removed a plastic sticker from the back and peeked inside the watch it voided the warranty and I could not return the watch..
It is keeping time so far so good..  Ill try this.

Congrats on the purchase BUT you paid $650.00 for a Seawolf??????????? :o
Where were you when I was trying to sell mine?

this MAY be a 70s quick date set, they are set by gently pushing in towards the watch on the crown. if it is this model the crown will normally stick out a tiny bit from the case, push on the crown and you will feel a tiny cilck and the date will change. i set mine for the day before date and then turn the hands around til you go past 12 midnight. this way it is correct and wont change at noon! if is not the push to set, follow the instructions in the above post. we are opening a can of worms debate here! some people never set the date.
