Now as for the watch, that is a several hundred dollar parts watch.  Not a $2500+ collectible.  The power of wishful thinking is common on Ebay.....

Very true.  My philosophy on that has always been, if you want to put together a bunch of parts to either just make a functioning watch or experimenting to try and come up with something that you think looks cool----no problem, it is your right to do so.   However, dont then take that creation and try to misrepresent it as something it is not because that isnt fair to someone who may not know the difference.
