Zodiac Watch Collecting- Is it Wrong?
« on: August 28, 2009, 10:13:25 am »
My wife could never understand that my reason for accumulating watches is not that I need them.. But it is something I have enjoyed in my lifetime. Like family dogs they are bookmarks of my life's most pleasant and most harrowing adventures. She will never understand, but perhaps my young son will. I hope to pass on my collection as a fond remembrance of my love for him. Nice real estate is always out of my reach. A good Zodiac is a sacrifice I can make that will hopefully accumulate value and find permanence in an age of plastic gimmicks. Ben

I don't care what the ole lady thinks. I am gonna dump our life savings into Zodiacs, get rich and then retire. I refuse to leave them to my son, the ungrateful SOB that moved out of state and broke his mother little heart. Let's be clear, this is all about ME!

(What honey? NO! That's not how I really feel. C'mon Baby, you KNOW I love you. And yes, I know it's not nice to call our son an SOB, but if will you just listen to me for a minute...)
Collecting Zodiacs is not for the meek; be an educated collector.

My wife has a better watch collection than me, so the only complaint I get is that
she has too many Zodiacs, like that's possible  ???

Fortunately, my wife has her own collecting addition (Vogue Ginny dolls), so she doesn't get on my case too much except to tease.  Truth be told, I tease her more than she does me, so I sure can't complain.  And to be fair, I've twice given her NOS Zodiacs (pre-Fossil) for Christmas.
