Vintage Longines

Sea Wolf

My parents are in town and they gave me some old family heirlooms.
Included was this Longines watch.  Does anyone know much about this one?

They gave you a nice watch   :sm3

Vintage Longines are well made, so not only is it 14k gold but it has what I think is one of their best movements, the Caliber 9L.  I have always thought that the 9L's were just as well made as most Patek and Vacheron movements at the time.  That is a great keeper.

I would probably ditch the stretch band though, those eat gold case lugs for lunch  :o

The original band would have been leather most likely

Width and color you may want... BLK or BRN preferred / wanted / needed 16, 18, 20 mm, approx cost.. original supplied and marked buckle for the Longines or just an aftermarket buckle ????  etc. ????

It's a nice watch and i agree it would look good with a leather strap.
