Looks like the crown is pulled out and the watch is submerged in water?  Is that really what I'm looking at?

No, I don't think so. He has replaced the factory crown and tube with a screw down crown and tube. I think it just does not sit down as flush to the case as a factory push crown did.

I don't mean to be critical or even mean, it is pretty, it's just that with an aftermarket screw down crown and an ill sized aftermarket bezel my point is that it is no longer a collectable, it is merely worth what a buyer is willing to pay, same way that a marriage is.

The seller is indeed not presenting it as a collectable by saying "NOS aftermarket screw down crown installed" and "New aftermarket metal bezel installed".
