Identifying a Zodiac Rotographic
« on: October 28, 2020, 06:40:34 pm »
I inherited this lovely piece, and have been told the mainspring needs replacing at the very least. I believe it's from the 1950s - the radium has disintegrated of course, you can see it is well-worn and the band is not original. The number on the back is 375562. I cannot find this exact model on the internet anywhere - can you tell me what year it was made, and is it worth repairing?

Off the top of my head, early 1950's. As for cost of repair, do you want a family heirloom that can be passed on and talked about? If not, then probably not. If not, you can always buy a glass dome for it, put it on the mantle and talk about it.
