Hey guys, first post here. Yesterday while browsing the local pawn shop I found this Clebar 3 register chrono for $250. I gave it a wind and it came to life! I tested the chrono functions and they seemed to work perfectly. I went ahead and picked it up. I would love a little more info about it. It seems I got a pretty good deal, but I have no idea how good. My initial plan was to flip it, but I really kinda love the thing! Here are some pics...

Movement (Note, thats not rust around the edge...but normal watch gunk. Probably skin and oil. GROSS!)

Nice score! Beware of this before you wind it again though.

Thanks for the link! The shop I bought it from said it had recently been cleaned and oiled.....but from the gunk around the edge I'm not sure how well it was "cleaned and oiled." Someone else that looked at it on another forum mentioned it looked over oiled. Everything functions as it should, so I don't believe it needs any repairs, just a correct service. Any idea how much that should cost, provided no repairs are needed? And maybe more importantly......where to have it serviced?

Hey Butch, I'm also trying to figure out who BWG actually is. Ha ha. Is that his actual nickname? I know it stands for Butch's Watch Guy, but how do I contact him?
Thanks bud!
It is in red on the link I gave you.
;)
Ha ha, darn it! In my defense, I realized the err of my ways and emailed you in between posting that and you responding. I'm out of my element with these watches. I'm a die hard Seiko guy.....but this Clebar is REALLY cool!!! I might have to become a Zodiac/Clebar guy now as well! ;D
Thanks again Butch!

You are on the VERY right side of that deal.
You mean in a "price paid vs value" way? Or do you mean as a Seiko guy buying a Clebar? Ha ha.

The former! Well, maybe both since you put it THAT way...
Nice catch boss99er! Don't forget to post some pics when you get it back from BWG. :#Clapping
Ha ha ha, ahh gotcha. So what's this thing actually worth? How good of a deal did I get?At this point, I'm keeping it......but I'm still kinda curious. You can't exactly find these in ebay to price check.
