Did they not know it's a Zodiac and painted on the name of what they thought the symbol is? Do they think the brand is Cross and the model is Zodiac?

No, I think that was made by Zodiac for Cross (pens) back in the day. It appears to be all original.  I just sold one similar and it fetched only $300 though. There is only about $200 in scrap gold in them, using today's prices.

Wow, yet another company Zodiac used on their watches. I'm just surprised they put the Cross name where the Zodiac name usually is. Thanks for the info.
