Hello there,
I am a Zodiac Newbie. Just picked up a beat up Seawolf with Day/Date and Shovel Hands. Everything looks original but I am not sure if they ever made these with the Day function?
Any references would help. If original, I would imagine that these would be rare because I could not find much on the web.
Thanks in advance!
Best,
T
Hi and welcome.
I'm not sure about the day either, but if you post a picture it will be easier to determine.
I saw that one as well. I have never seen the day/date on a Sea Wolf unless it was the larger cased model. Others here should know. Zodiac did offer many day/date models, but the older Sea Wolf's I'm not sure.
Here is the pic. Think they did make this model - but very little info on it online.
I feel like a policeman lately. Is that your picture? And if not, do you have the owner's permission to use it? If no, please remove it per the forum rules.
That is a mid to late 70's Day/Date Sea Wolf. It is legit.
I did not take the picture if that is what you mean. But I own the watch now. So not sure how you would like me to play it? Happy to remove as suitable :shuc
Then we look forward to you (better) picture of it. Nice catch too.
Here are some of my own pics :) Enjoy!
World of difference, does not even look like the same watch. Yes, I have seen, owned, and sold that model before. Nice catch.
Took me a while to get it all cleaned up. The bezel still needs cleaning. Not sure how to take it apart. Any tips? Also, how rare are these and what is the market rate that they typically fetch?
The bezel just pops off the case. There is a slit, if you use your loupe, where you can get a knife in there. As for the acrylic... Well, that was poured into the bezel. I have had one fall out into my hand, but I have never been able to get one out. Or more accurately never tried really hard for fear of messing it up and not being able to get another one.
Great thanks! Will give it a pop :)

You don't see these too often. I sold one similar with NOS bezel and completely restored for $700 a few months ago. It may have been worth more but I got my asking price so I was happy.

Thanks for the info! In that case, I would be open to selling it I suppose if anyone is interested. Probably should post in the for sale section :)
You are correct, wrong forum.
