If you ever wondered what you could do with one of those NOS vintage cases that seem to be popping up on the 'bay recently, here is an example of what you could do:

That is one style of NOS chrono case that I have seen for sale recently, with a "generic" Valjoux 72 installed, and a Zodiac Zodia-Chron dial, and a pair of hands that they found that could fit. Considering that a running Valjoux 72 movement alone will usually cost you between $550-$750, the sellers overall price is not bad, however, overall it is just not quite what it is represented to be.

Nice one UV. Most Zodiacs say Zodiac LTD inside the case back and have a 3 or 6 digit case number, particularly after 1960.
