:what  i hope the buyer got more better quality pictures! good price maybe, BUT a service will run a min. of $300. PLUS, and you just know it needs one! the dark moon phase dial scared me, i have seen them excellent and terrible! cant even SEE this one at all. i HOPE the buyer got a sweet deal, maybe yes, probably no. i love the triple dates but never have been ready to" takes my pick and pays the price"!

I pulled a copy of the pic into my program and played with the filters. The moon phase dial actually looks OK. Of course, we do not know about the other half of that dial, or the other days and months on the other two dials. Nor the condition of the case and dial based on the single lousy picture provided. Who knows what the back of the case and lugs looks like. You are right about the service costs, for a service only. Parts would be extra, along with any restoration costs.

Someone took a chance though. I looked at it and there was simply not enough info or pictures to entice me into buying it, even at that price. Perhaps someone here got it and will share good before and after pictures, but I doubt it was anyone here that bought it.

It makes you wonder why the seller wouldn't want to post good pictures from all angles.  The right pictures may have brought a better price, or at least make you willing to spend more money on a service/restore.
