Good god, at this rate there'll be 650 bids by the time the auction's over. I've always liked this watch. I've got a Snorkel with the tuning fork movement in really great shape but it goes through a battery in little over a year.  Usually sits for year until I get bored with my other watches and finally get around to replacing it.
I read someplace, have long since forgotten where, somebody citing a horological history of NASA stating that while astronauts, of the sixties, may have been issued Omegas most everyone else at NASA was wearing Bulova Astronauts and Zodiacs.

the omegas picked up the nickname "moon watch" and later omega reissued a special edition. i have only seen one in a photo.
