Title: another all wrong redial
Post by: jon p on August 20, 2010, 10:52:22 AM
:( :o ???  take a look at a redial that went bad,ebay#370407569994. dont these redialers look at the original dial before they proceed. looks to me like it would be as easy to do it correctly. oh well, it just is making the true originals more valuable.

Wow, that is really odd looking.  I have yet to see a really good Zodiac redial though, especially on the vintage sport models.  Some of the worst seem to end up on Ebay for some reason

NEVER get a Zodiac redialed, by anyone. A total waste of money. All the dies have been lost or worn out at the redialers and as the manufacturer has long since disappeared the redialers cannot get them any more.

The auction description says: Watch is exactly like those and then goes on to say It is all original except for the Stainless Steel Band, which is an authentic Zodiac Replacement...

All original except for the band being from an Astrographic and the dial has been redone, right?

I looked, the seller appears to not be a watch person, per se, but given the ASKING price I would presume they have done some research on them... As eBay USED to say on their main page "Caveat emptor.".
