Appears to be all original and in good shape too.

Did Zodiac make this or did they share case/crowns?

Several companies made a model like the SSW. No relation to Zodiac though.

I think UV has one of these, or a similar one.

I have this exact watch, and really like it.  This particular model is generally the cheapest watch that you can find using the SSW case from any brand.  Many of the "no-name" companies that happened to produce a watch using the SSW case will often sell for more than the Gruen for some reason.  Maybe it is because the dial is kind of plain, besides fact that it is orange.  It was still supposed to be a 1500ft watch when it was new.

I paid $125 for mine off the bay 4 or 5 years ago, but it was missing the crown and stem.  Word of warning though, if the tube for the screw-down crown needs replacing on this model, it will be a b#@%h.  They heavily welded this tube in, and it must drilled out extensively.  Of all the times I have had to do that type of replacement on a watch, this one was the worst I have even encountered (I guess because of the heavy original depth rating for this model).

A really nice examply of this watch usually sells for $250-$350.

Wow. that is a far cry from $800 and no band. eBay prices are really getting whacky, eh?

:agreei  The prices on there are all over the place.  I have never bought from that particular seller, but his prices are usually on the upper end it seems like.
