my father gave me a 1958 Zodiac watch i think he bought in Beirut. i don't see any other like it on the internet.. it has a black background ring around the number/slots. the inside of the watch it cream color.. model # 1044575. is it a common watch? worth ? thanks for any reply's..

That looks to be a manual wind Glorious from the late 50's or early 60's/. While not worth a lot, it would make a fine family heirloom once serviced.
