Zodiac Goldenline Chronometre info needed
Hi Everyone, this is my first post. I recently acquired this Zodiac watch from a thirft store. The Dial reads " Zodiac Chronometre Goldenline automatic". It keeps excellant time, but will only run about six hours overnight after I've worn it all day. I'm taking it to a local jeweler next week to be serviced & a new crystal. My questions are:

1. What movement is it using? Its a screw back, but I couldn't get it off.
2. About when was it made?
3. What does the "Chronometre" designation mean for this watch/movement?

And any other info and history would be great, Thanks in advance!

2. About when was it made? Early to mid-60's.
3. What does the "Chronometre" designation mean for this watch/movement? Swiss for Chronometer.

And any other info and history would be great, Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard! Yes, I would recommend reading some of the articles here, along with the BWG forum. You are headed in the right direction, but most locals cannot repair them and cannot get he parts.

Great find! How much did you buy it at the thrift store if you don't mind me asking?

Only nine dollars! I couldn't believe my luck! I shook it a couple times and it came to life.
