I picked up this watch recently. I have a few watches but this is my first Zodiac!

You are correct, that is a dress watch from the mid 70's. What is the case size?

latest problem.. I do not see an slots etc on the case back so I assume its pressfit/pry off back. what tool is best to get the case back off without damaging it?

Look closely and you will see a slight opening where the back meets the case (supposed to be at 9, but rarely is!) and slip a case knife into it and carefully pry up.
