This chronograph looks really beautiful. I like the pearl dial with the black bezel, very similar to some of the old Rolex Daytona models, though I would like it even more with black sub dials.
How usual are Zodiac chronographs with untouched movements?
Read that many watches with Valjoux 72 are being used as donators to the Daytonas.
What do you mean by untouched movements?
I have had a few of those, the dial is actually silver. Had to go get it, here is a picture.

Well, since the old Daytona uses the same movement (perhaps slightly modified), I'm assuming they take parts from these watches and use as spare parts for their Daytonas. But then these donators watches wouldn't be running? ??? ???
Maybe. I wouldn't think the VJ 72 is hard to get parts for though. Can't honestly say that I have ever heard of Zodiacs being robbed for parts in these models, but it could happen. UV may have more info, he is into Chronos whereas I avoid them like the plague.
