« on: July 12, 2017, 05:53:34 PM »
I was hoping someone could tell me more about this watch. A friend gave me a bag full of old watches and i thought this might be valuable.
there are no markings on the back case and the only ones on front say

I have not seen any literature on them. Over the years I have seen them for sale but they never have sold for very much.

if you don't mind me asking. what price range have you seen them in? $100 $500 $1000?

Thanks again,

If the dial is real gold coin, the watch would cost thousands.
Otherwise - several dollars or whatever a buyer wants to pay.
Do search on eBay "liberty coin watch". You will have idea.
I think yours is a cheapo piece. I saw many like this depicting Zodiac, Caran, Oris, Dufonte. You name it.

Always below $100. You say no markings on the back, is the back SS?

it is. I haven't attempted to remove the back to check the movement cause I didn't want to screw anything up if it was valuable. But I'll open it tonight.
Thanks for all the info!

If the dial was really gold, I would think the case would be as well.
